I love this quote! First of all it is a quote by one of my favorite authors. Agatha Christie is like totally the bomb! She is an artful writer and being a woman writer in the early to mid 1920's when women really didn't "do that" sort of thing...
Then there is the truth of the quote...
I mean really think about it. What is the alternative to being alive? I cannot imagine what death would truly be like. Is it a long sleep, like some religious communities teach? Are you whisked off to heaven to live with GOD? Sent to HELL to burn? It is a rather unknown quantity and one that I am not ready to experience.... I sort of enjoy this whole being alive thing. Even when things aren't going quite as hoped for.
