Dating?

Hey! Another fantazmagorical day behind me! Today was especially interesting...

The kids and I were walking around town, went and had lunch at SubWay, did some shopping at WalMart and then headed home. At WalMart we had ran into a couple of "old" friends. Hadn't seen one of them in YEARS, literally. As we talked we realized that my 6 year old had been a baby in arms the last time we had chatted. So it was a quick catch up with eachother, exchange of phone numbers and on our seperate ways we went with promises to call eachother.

After that, we were on our way home... walking along my daughter and I were chatting away when I hear "Hey!" coming from a guy who was doing some road work. I stop to see who it is. It is a guy I had dated back when my sons father and I had been split up last year. We stopped to talk to each other for a few minutes...

AND! Check it out... I have a DATE! OMG! Well it isn't an honest to goodness date, since I don't have anyone to leave my little guy with. So we are going to go have MickeyD's for dinner later this week, let my little bear play in the playland while we sit and chat. Not a conventional date but still a date of sorts :)

This isn't someone who I actually can see myself "being" with... but as far as getting my feet wet dating again he is a good one to do it with. I am comfortable with him and I do enjoy talking with him. If nothing else, it is someone who can turn into a good friend...
