Happily Tired

What a GREAT day!

So the day took a bit of a turn in plans (a good reminder of how important it is to be flexible).... We started off with having a plan to have a BBQ here at the house. However my grandson's Mom showed up early at the house, telling us about a community thing happening at the park...

So we packed up and headed off with them to the park~

What an AWESOME day it turned out to be! We had a group of about 8 adults, 4 babies, 5 older little ones, and the 5 teens~ what a blast we all had! Playing games that some of the local churches had set up there at the park, eating great food, and just romping and playing together as a family.

After 4 hours we headed home~ a long hot afternoon walk created several cranky babies. Older kids headed to the swimming hole, they had the right idea! Home was nice and cool, since I forgot to turn off the air conditioner :) Yeah I'll have to pay the electric bill but oh how sweet it was to come into a nice cool house.

The little ones and I laid down for a rest when my son stopped by, he had been swimming and wanted to grab a drink from me and cool off before heading off again. The boy sat on the couch and the next thing we know we were all waking up to a knock at the door~ all three kids and myself had nodded off taking a nice afternoon nap.

It wasn't long after that when my daughter and her crew showed up. 5 teenagers in a little apartment? ROFL what a hoot they were! Lots of fun to watch them goof off and be kids.
The day is coming to a close and I am happily tired... another funtabulous day with friends and family!
